FINALLY CLEARER sight around... | Sunday October 8, 2:17 PM |  | Haze in Singapore clears, PSI falls from highsSINGAPORE: The thick haze from forest fires in Indonesia that enveloped Singapore's skies and sent its pollution index to a nine-year high cleared up markedly on Sunday. At 12:00 pm (0400 GMT), the three-hour average Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) stood at 27, down from Saturday's peak of 150, a nine-year high, according to readings posted on the . A reading of 0-50 is good while anything between 101-200 is unhealthy. The PSI has steadily declined since its reading of 57 at 7:00 am when the NEA begins its hourly update of the haze situation. The index's all-time high reading of 226 was recorded in 1997 when the region's skies were choked by a thick smog from forest fires in Indonesia. The fog-like haze, which has affected Singapore for several days, carried with it a burning smell. Singapore has expressed its concerns about the situation to Indonesia, stressing the urgency to suppress the forest fires, which are lit to clear land. Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong said: "I just hope that next year, the Indonesians will understand our concerns and do something about the haze, or do something about the fire before it is started by farmers and plantation owners. Our Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be registering our concerns with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Indonesia, that's the least we should do." Singapore had also offered to help Indonesia douse the forest fires through cloud-seeding to induce rain and to assist Indonesian farmers in land clearing, but Jakarta has yet to take up the offer. Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Environment and Water Resources Minister, said: "At the end of the day, it is up to the Indonesian government, the Indonesian people. At this point in time, the offer that we have made still stands." "I think if there is anything else that they need, if they make a request, we will consider it. Meanwhile on our part, we will continue to provide them coordinates and locations of the hot spots. From there, they can locate the forest fires and hopefully they can suppress the fires as quickly as possible," Dr Yaacob told reporters late Saturday. | Looking back, we have been together for more than a year. Knew him when I was in Poly year 2, studied NI HON GO together taught by Sato-sensei. I guessed it was really because of Yumi then when i wanted to take this language. She sort of influenced me to take up this course... remember the JAP CRAZE?? haha... yeah... she's our Ahhh-yumi!! haha...
Wat i can recall is that i first saw him is he talking to yumi in the sch bookstore, supposingly asking her if she did continue with her japanese language course... i din really knoe him then, in fact, i was juz wondering,"eh, yumi u knoe him? who is he??" din care much then..
then who knoes, all of us were taught by the same sensei... Sato-sensei for our 2nd or 3rd jap courses... (cannot remember...) found friends whoare so so funni such as edward, samantha, dennis, ngiap ee, maylinda. Of coz there's darling, yumi, ying lang...
every lessons were so much fun... with Sato-sensei as the EBI, and so mch question marks surrounding me when he speaks (always kana hit by the ????), my jap class friends were so much fun... (misses the jap lesson daes) and i always copied from my darling for the jap h/w... (never knew that he would be my beloved darling now...)
we graduated from sch, have our lives n dunno when, my computer kana hit my some virus or something like that... n me being a computer idiot, of coz i was then trying to seek help or advises on how to "save" my computer. then, this guy aka darling, msn me... or did i msn him on help?? cannot remember too... haha... old le... well well... i ask for remote assistance from him and seems that my computer is "hacked", things moved on it's own!!! i was so amused!!! it's like watching magic show!! haha... then he came to fix my computer... n me too!! he set traps!!!! not fair!! hrmm... but i did not regret being "trapped"....
after the "trapping incident", we sure have our disagreements and did we quarrel?? not too sure, but he always give in to me. whenever i ddhh, showed "stressed, angry, sad, happy"... he's always there for me giving me advices, care n concern.. once because of my own stupidity, i caused him to broke my heart once.. i think at that time, it really broke into pieces when he juz walked away...
I dun wanna to break my heart again.. i cant afford to do so... coz i'm in too deep... luv him too much.. and I wanna thank GOD for letting him into my life... and thank GOD for guiding him into your presences... now i'm lookin forward to this sunday, EASTER DAY!! "Swim beautifully" ah... | | |
| yeah, today i'm off... been away from my blog for a looooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg time... hrmm... do u consider 3mths long?? anyway, although i din blog any for the past few months, i did have some fun...
2 main events: My family trip, My 1 yr anniversary, and some "small small" events... haha
Event #1 on 110306-160306 TAIWAN FAMILY TRIP
Went to Kaohsiung from Singapore on China Airlines mini aircraft wif my daddy, mommy, my bro, my sis and my beloved darling plus other 8 ppl who signed up for this package tour from dynasty travel. Small a/c but it was packed!! not much of the entertainment though... met up wif Mr lim who was wif us thoughout the whole trip... a very knowledgable guy...
went to lotsa nite markets in taiwan, but to me, is that once u have visit one, you would have visited the rest of nite market in taiwan, but still, i enjoyed shopping, eating, sight-seeing each and everyone of them... there are so much muah-chee, seng- muay, lotsa smelly toufu, oyster omelette.... so much fun...
there are lotsa ping-lang ladies wearing very little... there was this lady whom she wore onli her bra and panties in the cold weather, i think it is cold, coz everyone else in the coach were all wearing 2 or more clothes!!! but mr lim says the best ping lang is sold by old aunties
went to alishan for hiking in the mist and saw sakura!! but it was so over-crowded... din get to see the alishan gals... haizz.... (remember the chinese song... alishan de gu liang...)
Went to taichung, visited the earthquake museum... i like tat... it is so interesting... get to feel some earth shaking moments... haha... and my darling and my bro went to shop for more clothes... brrr.... cold....
finally, to taipei, saw the 101 building, cks memorial hall, changing of the guards ceremony etc.... more last mins shopping.... then back to Singapore on a bigger a/c wif lotsa empty seats around.. played mahjong on board and BIG bro2... and back home to unpack things and shopping goods... really enjoyed this family trip!!!! dunno when's the next one coming up.... :)
Event #2 240306 1st year anni!!
last year this date, i was trapped by him, but this year this date, we celebrate our one year together... time flies when you are having fun, and it's true!! he's has been a nice, patient, understanding, loving, helpful partner to me. We surprised each other wif our hand-made picture, haha... we think alike, coz the things are almost similar!!! darling thanx for everything, loving me, my family and friends.MUACKS!!!!

Finally i've been to new york!!!! haha... but i dun really like that place... much prefer SFO. and brought my bro a laptop, got $$ from the progress package... and singing session wif yumi, stace, ben, nat nat and darling ytd.... so much fun!!!!
